Mirror Images ๐
Mirror images are flipped versions of objects. When you look in a mirror:
- Left and right sides appear swapped
- Top and bottom remain the same
- Diagonals are reversed
For example: The letter M looks the same in a mirror, but P looks like its reflection.
Mirror Images Practice ๐
What is the mirror image of this character?
Coding & Decoding ๐ข
Coding is transforming words into patterns. Decoding is reversing the pattern:
- Each letter is shifted in the alphabet
- Patterns can be based on position (A=1, B=2, etc.)
- Words are often reversed or transformed
Example:
Decoding pattern: Each letter is shifted 9 positions forward
Coding Practice ๐ข
If EARLY is written as NJAUH, what would CNAV become?
Direction Sense ๐งญ
Directions are based on compass points:
- Cardinal directions: North (N), South (S), East (E), West (W)
- Point to remember: 90ยฐ = ยผ turn, 180ยฐ = ยฝ turn, 270ยฐ = ยพ turn
๐ Quick Tip
Remember: anticlockwise is the opposite of clockwise!
Direction Practice ๐งญ
If you're facing North and turn 135ยฐ clockwise, which direction are you facing?
Number & Figure Patterns ๐ฃ
Patterns follow logical sequences:
- Arithmetic sequences (constant difference: 5, 10, 15...)
- Geometric sequences (constant ratio: 2, 4, 8...)
- Alternating patterns (2, 4, 6, 5, 10, 15...)
- Figure patterns (rotating shapes, changing elements)
Example: 128, 121, 114, __, 100 โ Pattern: Subtract 7 each time
Pattern Practice ๐ฃ
What comes next in this sequence?
Number Relations
Numbers in shapes follow relationships:
- Center values are derived from corner values
- Common operations: sum, product, difference
- Relationships may differ between figures
In the triangle: Center = (6 + 8 + 6) / 2 = 20/2 = 10
